won't let me bump charge

I'm familiar with bump charging since i had a htc incredible
I just got my TB, and it won't let me bump charge
when i turn on the device it goes down to 98% immediately

what am i doing wrong?

I'm guessing you're turning the phone off to finish the charge? Well, the thunderbolt has a setting called fast boot, which makes the phone go into hibernation mode instead of actually turning off. To make it so you can turn the phone off to finish charging it, you have to go to power settings and turn off fast boot.

Are you rooted? I had the same issue when running any Sense rom...I'm now on CM7 and bump charging is back.

Dumb question, but are you turning off the phone and unplugging and then replugging?
