Wont start!

[Android Question]

I purchased a htc one 4 months ago brand new in box. yesterday the phone died on me so i took it and put it on charge, later on when i tried to start the phone it took me to the "HTC" logo screen and it was stuck there for a while so i tried to turn the phone it shut down and restarted on its own i did not root the phone I Tried almost everything including fast reboot , Recovery and etc.... If any one knows whats wrong with it id appreciate it if you would help me

" put it on charge, later on" How much later on? If the battery was dead, the first few hours aren't doing much to charge it. Plug the charger in, leave it (turned off) for 24 hours, then see what happens.
