Root Word of advice before updating your rooted phone on July 11th

For those of you that are afraid of losing root when you update to the new firmware there is an app in the playstore called OTA ROOTKEEPER by voodoo. You will not lose root as this makes a backup of your superuser and root.

Recently used it on my Motorola bionic and it is a great app. One tip is to make sure you update the binaries to the most recent to make sure it works right. We had members loose root because their binaries were out of date.

It said it is useless for samsung phones updated through kies...I synced my Note 2 through kies when I first got it and have never used kies since. Will it work?

As it said it is useless on Samsung phones that are updated through kies, I would imagine since you note had been synced, the app will not work for you.
