I am developing an android daily devotional app, it contains 365 messages of the year i.e a message for each day through the year.

I will like to to develop the app in a way that each message of the day will show to the user automatically after the splash screen, without the user having to navigate to the message of the day for example

If the message of 10/30/2014 (God is love) , 10/30/2014 (Faith works miracles), etc it should be shown to the user immediately after the splash screen for each day

And i will like to use only one activity.java for the whole message of each day, not having to create 365 activity.java

    Hi joakins, and welcome :)

I'm no developer, but I moved your post to the Application Development subforum where our devs should be able to help you.

Make a MySQL database to store all your messages for the whole year, and give corresponding ids according to days and months whatever schema you like to make for your database. In your main activity get the current date and fetch the messages for that date from your database and show it.
