I am trying to understand how android works and recently I read a thread over a XDA about Galaxy S stalling issue. The reason stated was that Galaxy S was using internal SD for app data storage instead of NAND (can anyone tell me what is the difference between the two anyway??), which was way slower to access and if the data is movied to NAND then lag issue disappears.
So my question is if internal SD is so slow, external SD would be as slow or even more slower. So when froyo lets users install apps to external SD, how would it counter the lag issues due to the slow access times of the SD card?
