Kitchen Sink Rom Hands On and Review - YouTube
that would be so freaking cool
That was, would be so sweet!!!
im know it is CN but it would be reailly cool reguardless
Well I figured out that Aroma does work for our phone, noone has yet to include it in a ROM. I'll see if I can get this baby running.
gannon you should get all your roms in there and bakside ect
I've played with Aroma. It was used for that one really sweet a2sd script that Ben found (but didn't boot on BACKside), it's also used for a ROM I tried on the wife's HTC...
It's really sweet, nice ui with full touchscreen support, regardless of your recovery!
Well I haven't gotten to testing it yet. I don't even know if our phone would think about flashing a file like that (It reboots recovery if it doesn't). But the size will dramatically go down due to the size of our ROMs.
The only thing that's going to suck is uploading a new update. It's going to take some real dramatic tests.
Are we talking about the aroma installer? I love it! (Already tested it, using it on my private cm9 build and I tested it on my magpie rom)
I was thinking Sammyz might be able to use Aroma for his ports. Or tdm could use it to package all three Quattrimus variants together. I've thought about using it to package BACKside with gapps and mgr666's kernel just for my own personal use.
You can put any kernel with any rom by switching the boot.img, it has to be one made for your phone, and made for GB kernel if using GB ROM, ICS kernel for ICS rom, froyo kernel for froyo rom......
jmz users aroma to support multiple roms and options in one package. That's more what I was thinking. One package for BACKside that can handle the S, M, and whatever else you've ported it to.
The C haha, and that wouldn't be too hard if I used gannons method of porting instead of mine....but it still would be hard
in order to deal with updates, it seems like you'd have to actually update Aroma as well, repackage it, and then release it... so i'd assume that Aroma is more-so meant for ROMs that are no longer being updated/are finalized, or rarely updated.
or like brother said, used to package release all 3 quattrimus' at once
either way, I'D F(IRE-TR)UCKING LOVE THIS!!!
I've played with a couple of different uses of Aroma, both on my V and the wife's WFS, and it is sweet. I grabbed a copy of the source for it, I'm thinking about using it to package all eight of my themes together. I might stuff some other goodies in there too, we'll see...
