take your phone to sprint and make them do it. I just upgraded, and so far, everything is working well, including the internet and email, which updates quickly. This however, does not negate your experience, but it does give you information to suggest it may be your phone and how it installed the software instead of all evo's and froyo sucks. Good luck.

    now you're just being trolltastic.

Let's troubleshoot your problem a bit more. Exactly where are you experiencing slowdowns? Stock browser?
Have you tried downloading a 3rd party browser like Dolphin? Is the problem persistent there?

Do you have task killers installed? If so, remove them immediately.

Hard reset, or for better words, factory reset, should restore you to stock and should cure you of most problems. This however, should be your last resort, not first like others have been suggesting.

Please stop being so trollorific, and post genuine informative inquiries so the community can actually help you. Screaming that you're returning the Evo doesn't affect anyone but you.

Lagging and sluggish, whenever I use the browser...stock browser. I have tried the Dolphon HD and had the same issue. No task killers installed. YES i have done a factory reset to NO IMPROVEMENT.

Your phone must be a lemon. My pinch and zoom is smooth as butter on the dozens of sites I've tried (flash and non-flash). Given the number of topics you've opened here and the fact that absolutely none of the suggested fixes have fixed your problems you need to go to Sprint and get them to fix your issues.

Sometimes, you just get a lemon. But you have had so many issues, that there is no point in putting it off.

Pretty much every major news/media web site is very sluggish by default under Froyo because because of the ridiculous amount of cpu-hogging flash ads and other worthless 'features' they contain.

It was a huge mistake to ship Froyo with the default Flash mode set to 'Always On'. Change it to "On Demand" (browser->menu->settings->PlugIns near the bottom) and the browser should be full speed again.

If this does NOT help, then what could be happening is your CPU is stuck at a very low speed, such as in the 300mhz range, and will not speed up under heavy load like it is supposed to. Download SystemPanel from the market, start it up, switch to the browser, start a page loading, then switch back to SystemPanel and see if your CPU speed says around 1 Ghz. If it doesn't, then your phone is screwed up in some way, probably in a hardware way.

All true...flash is a huge resource hog. It's amazing it can do as well as it does though...not giving credit to adobe, because it crashes all the time on my desktop system and they have open bugs that have been sitting there for years...it's still impressive.

But for this guy(AlwayzRight...who said irony is dead?), everything is going wrong. He has opened about 6 threads complaining about some aspect of Froyo and nothing the people have suggested here seems to help him solve his problems. When they try to help, he insists that the are full of crap and Froyo just sux.

So, it's now up to Sprint to solve his issues.

As far as I'm concerned, Steve Jobs can have him.

Open the browser, hit the menu button, go to more, settings, scroll to bottom and where it says enable plugins select on demand.

As for the OP- being a drama queen is not going to solve any problems. If everything is so bad then go ahead and get your flashless 4. It's no one here's fault you are having problems. You are acting like android forums made the phone or something.

Sounds like you need to take it back to Sprint. Tell 'em the (HTC) update broke your phone. That should be covered under your manufacturer's warranty. Its really as simple as that.
