I am using SurfaceView to show and process a bitmap and unicode fonts (e.g. chinese characters). The font shown has to be analysed pixel by pixel with specialized algorithms. The bitmap coming from a jpg-file on the other hand represents also a character from such a font and has also to be analysed pixel by pixel. Both images are similar. It is to complex to explain more. I want to process in the bitmap the font character shown on the canvas in order to be able to process it like the bitmap from the jpg file. My test app can display both images at the same time but they are on different layers. How can I store the canvas image on the bitmap being shown. I have done long research but all examples do not fit.
Attached the files I am using. The font file is too big but you can use any tff font and store it in assets/fonts.
I have tried setting canvas.setBitmap(bitmap); but that does not work. See the files. I am not looking for a totally new approach. I want to fix the problem of moving the image from the canvas onto the bitmap being displayed!
