I got switched from the 30 $ all in to the 20 text unlimited and the 2gb data for 25$. I had the 30$ all in plan forever it seems like, and now all of a sudden the just change it?

normally I keep up with all things nexus but I've been gone for a while.
has this happened to anyone else in the last couple days?
I look at my account online and it doesn't even say I can switch back to the 200mb plan for $15.
I called and talked to a guy and gave me the regular rundown.
I didn't argue or get rude, I said I'd call back.

@85$ plus taxes for these data, sms and the 450- rollover plans, and att just doing whatever they want with accounts it seems there's no more reason to be with att.

I know this has been beaten to death, I know, I know..
    I'm just pissed.

I thought anybody who had the $30 unlimited plan before they got rid of it a few months ago was allowed to stay with that plan if they choose to do so?

As for my plan, last week, I received the "For whatever reason, you didn't have the proper data plan" text and email with the "hope your enjoying your smart phone" messages. I suppose I cant complain as I have been using my Moto Razr unlimited data plan with my Nokia E71 for about 2 years followed by my N1 for the last 4-5 months.

I haven't been able to verify what my new bill will come out to as they're pro-rating 10 days under the new 2GB plan but it seems like I now have a costlier text plan then my prior plan but I'll have to wait and see.

I've been with these tools for pretty much this entire decade but I might finally consider switching to another carrier when I decide to move on from my N1.

I thought so also - 30$ was a keeper if you had it before, now I don't know. my bill is $15 higher, and although that's not much, it's not the point.
it's just bothering me that's all.
I'm going to do something tomorrow. I have a tmo n1 also so I could switch, I'm just worried about the coverage down here.

If this happen to me my next 100 minutes of my phone bill would be to ATT bitching them out. Call them up and don't stop until you get to the highest person and complain as much as you can.

well, there ain't jack the retention people can do. Been at att for 12 years now.
It's impossible to go back I guess. Also you can't just have voice voice or data alone.
According to him there is only 200mb or 2gb plans no matter what you had before they auto switch you.
What he did do was switch me to a 29.99 voice with rollover instead of the lowest advertised 39.99 450 rollover plan.
Drop to 1500 texts a month for $15 instead of unlimited for $20.
and 2gb data for whatever that price is, I don't remember. But at least my bill is within $5 of what it was the other day.
Att just doesn't really care to much about what they're doing to customers.
I'm still going to go check out tmo and coverage at my house when I have time.

They must have been doing some sort of batch upgrade last week, I got hit as well. They couldn't have waited 4 days until my bill cycle was over, so they are also hitting me with $6 worth of pro-rated charges. The weird thing though is on the AT&T site, it still shows my old phone (Samsung SGH-A867) as the one I'm currently using. I might give them a call to see if there's anything they can do to get my bill down a little bit. Coincidentally my contract with AT&T ended today, so I will be able to look elsewhere without any consequences if I can get a better deal with I'm feeling like upgrading.

$30 all-in package? is that the super old package with unlimited text and data? If so, you cannot use that with any smartphones. The $30 unlimited DATA package, however, will be honored.

I think you are out of luck if you had the non-smartphone version of unlimited data as you are clearly using a smartphone now. I am worried that at some point I may also lose my unlimited data as I am on the unlimited iPhone data plan, and I am obviously not using an iphone anymore. Luckily, it is harder to tell the difference between iphone and nexus since the sim is the same. I also hope that I can keep the unlimited plan since the nexus is a smartphone like the iphone, but I bet they can kill it if they can figure out how to tell it is not an iphone...

i used the $30 iphone data plan for about 3 months on my Captivate, and recently switched to the N1. Worst case scenario: they move you to the $30 unlimited data generic smarthphone plan. But I highly doubt they will

Another question to those Nexus One AT&T customers... Has anyone noticed their bill this month being lower than it should be? I get a discount to my employer, but still to 1/3 of my normal bill is a big step. And not having anything on my bill that says 'rebate' makes me VERY curious...

Obviously not going to call AT&T about this... I believe it must be in relation to the class action settlement that just happened, but I would have thought I would have seen a line item on the bill stating the reduction?
