How has you guys' call quality been on the X? I have spent a lot of time in the forums here learning about the phone's capabilities and havent once thought about the phone being used as a...gasp!...phone!

However, that is a good thing, because I have had great clear calls which was in contrast to my previous phone, so since the phone has been working as it should, I havent thought about it. But my calls (listening to the person on the other end, and how they say I sound) have been pretty near perfect.

    How is everyone else faring?:)

Excellent call quality, even using the default voice codec. Earpiece is also clear with little-to-no tinniness. I live in an area with great signal, so YMMV.

Sounds as good as a land line 99% of the time.

While it could stand to have a bit more volume, the DX call quality and clarity is absolutely outstanding! If the rest of the DX functions worked anywhere close to as well as the phone itself does, it would be an unbeatable device.
  6. The call quality is great on my X and i usually have to turn the volume down so it doesn't kill my eardrum. The only person i do have eho with is my son who is on verizon and has a original droid, but i had the same problem wih whatever phone i had and only with him....weird huh? We both live in areas that have full bars.

For me, the quality is so clear I sometimes wonder if the call was dropped because there is NO static. It's almost creepy.
