For everyone who has an issue with battery drain,quit your bitchin and spend the $15 on a Ebay battery and charger. I purchased some cheap batteries(3) and a charger for $15 shipped to my door in Canada,they work fine !
Not a bad idea, but I have mine in an OtterBox Commuter case, and this makes for a PITA to open the back on regular basis. Instead, and with the advent of 2.1, I've chosen to selectively choose what I run for apps, have ceased using Live Wallpapers, and keep up the housekeeping on my X10. Left on, I need to recharge about every day and a half. I can live with that.
