I really want to get a 32gb micro sd card for my new Mini Pro (music collection) but the specification lists that it only supports up to 16gb! What the hell! I thought this was 2010 not 2007!

Has anoyone actualy tried using a 32gb card in this particular phone? if so what happens?

Also would the memory card limitation be raised to 32gb with the new firmware update android 2.1 by any chance?

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated! :D

I can't comment on if they will work or not, the only thing I wanted to say is buy from a reputable dealer (not ebay - there is no such thing as a free lunch) cos I have seen threads on one of the X10 forums about the cards being marked up as 16g or 32g and then only turning out to have 8g of storage when put in the phone.

I'm sure there was a thread on here about it... I'll have a look round and see if I can link you to it.

You can use only up to 16 GB in Xperia X10 Mini Pro. 32Gb is not compatible with the phone.

Thanks for the replies guys, I was actually looking on e-bay the other day for micro SD cards, guess I'll give that a miss! :p

I would really like to find out whether the 16gb limit is down to a hardware limitation or a software limitation. I'm gonna be absolutely gutted if I can only get a 16gb card for my new phone

Also if it does what brand and class is it? (e.g. SanDisk Class2)

    Any help appreciated :)
