Help X10 - number of rings - incoming call

my Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 phone only rings once and then goes to my recorded message. This is not random, but happens every time. Is thee no option allowing one to set up how many times it ought to ring before the recording cuts in?

This is carrier dependent. They usually have the phones set to ring 4-6 times prior to rolling into voicemail, of course, if your on the phone, or the phone is turned off, it may be different. Of course signal strength would also be an issue. If you have a low signal that get dropped when a call is incoming it would probably move the call to voicemail. I would call your carrier (611 in USA) and double check, you can also ask them to shorten or lengthen the duration before rolling into voicemail..
