Help X10 vibrating problem

Hey everyone,

Had a little problem just came up on my X10 to keep it simple when I activate the vibrating mode it doesn't vibrate anymore. Any idea what it could be a hardware problem?

The vibrating motor inside your phone could be loose. Best to have it checked out at a mobile phone repair store

You can test the vibrate function from the secret menu/test menu.

From the unlock screen, don't swype to unlock but press

Menu Back Back Menu
Back Menu Menu Back

and then select Service Tests and try vibrator.

If it works from there then you could try running a software update via Sony Ericsson Update Service or PC Companion support section to see if that solves it.

If not then as Cubz said, you may need to return it via your retailer/carrier to be looked at under warranty.

Sorry to hijack the thread but is there an setting somewhere to make the vibrate stronger. It appears to be too soft for messaging.

Sadly there isn't, its dependent on the type of vibrating unit they put in and basically its a bit rubbish! (Someone on XDA has taken the phone apart and looked)

I guess a stonger vibration could have a negative knock on effect to other components inside. I'm not sure, maybe rosered or charlyee are more experienced with other electrical appliances................oh no, i'm sorry - i couldn't help myself. please lock this thread before it gets out of control lol. :-D
