Hi everyone, Just bought this phone 2 days ago and its my first andorid experience. Need 3 things resolving, 1) how can i improve contrast / quality of text as i am long sighted and prefer not to be carrying my glasses everywhere and 2) I am looking for the best voice recorder for lectures. ( i have downloaded Clearrecordlite if anyone is familiar with this will it do the job?) 3) How does one delete apps that are no longer required? Appreciate any helpful comments.
I will chip in on the text thing, you could try Handcent SMS which allows for lots of customisation on the font, colours for text and background which might help you view them more comfortably than the provided messaging app. You can't delete preinstalled apps without rooting your phone but if it is downloaded from the market you can uninstall it from the market application, my apps and then tap on the one you want to get rid of and uninstall will be an option there. Don't know about voice recorders, sorry!
if they are stock applications only way to remove them is ROOTING or else if you've installed them than go Settings->Applications->Manage Applications
thank you for both replies very helpful. I have just come across the term rooting it sounds quite serious. Basically what does it involve? This issue came up when ifound this app: 'Custom Android Font Switcher' on android market. It was a pre-requirement along with busy box. I am not what both involve so any pointers will help.
