General Xperia X10 doesn't ring long enough

My Xperia X10 only seems to ring for about 4-5 sec before it diverts to voicemail and shows a "missed call". Often this isn't long enough to get the damn thing out of my pocket. Is there a way of making it ring longer, giving me more of a chance to answer it? Thanks

I may be wrong, but I think this could be more of a Network provider setting rather than a phone setting. Mine doesn't go to voicemail at all and I know I haven't changed any settings on the phone.

Ages ago I saw something on one of the secret menus that you could access with #*numbers*# etc but I don't know the key sequence. You could then apparently change the number of ringtones. If I find it I will pop back and up date but you could have a google in the meantime.

My X10 is on UK Tmobile and you have to pay for Voice mail so I haven't set it up at all.

to get to the screen you are talking about it is

home, back, back, home, back, home, home, back

you have to do it on the lock screen

Not sure where the number of ringtones is though

    Cheers

No its not the Service Menu, its another menu... you key it in via the dial pad. I searched for it but couldn't find it. You put in #*46????*# but I just can't find it. I was hoping someone would chip in and put me out of my misery!!

You should be able to ring your provider and get them to sort this
wouldnt have thought it would be a phone setting.
i have no Voicemail set and mine rings for ages

Have obtained the code for this after a lengthy call to Customer Services

For the benefit of any O2 UK customers the code is:

**61*901*11*??# then hit the "call" button

... where "??" is the number of seconds you want the phone to ring before it diverts. Has to be either 05, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30.

:DGreat that you got solution! :)
I also suggest a free app called Tone Picker. :cool:This app finds soundfiles that default apps can't see. I use several very loud ringtones that I can hear from acroos the house or in noisy environments:eek:. I also make all my own ringtones from MP3's on my PC and transfer them to the sd card where Tone Picker finds them. :)
