Hi. I've had this phone lying around collecting dust in original wrapping for about a year and today thought I'd try it out. Problem is that it keeps restarting all the time. If I'm lucky I'm able to start the phone and take a photo. but most of the times it won't get that far. Does anyone know what can be wrong?
The first thing to do is run a software update as if it has not been used in sometime it is likely running old firmware.
If the phone is bnib, not likely to be a software issue. Im leaning towards a battery issue since its been lying around uncharged for at least a year. I'd buy a batt off ebay or amazon first and eliminate that possibility.
Try reinstalling the software using PC Companion (option to repair the phone). If this doesn't do it, as others have suggested it might be the battery. But there's always the issue of faulty hardware.
