Does X-plore allow copying and moving of files. If so can someone please explain how to do this. Or recommend another file manager that will allow this.

I've never used X-plore, but I've never met a file manager which doesn't allow this.

Generally you select the app, then there is a menu of "actions". In some cases "move" is "cut" then "past", in others it's the more obvious "move".

If you are just changing a single file, a long press on the file usually brings up a menu of options, including rename, move etc.

I wa scratching my head about this also, but it's actually quite easy. The "trick" is that you have to select the destination folder first. For example, in the right pane, navigate to the folder where you want to copy the file(s) to. Then swipe right to the left pane, and long press the folder/files(s) you want to copy. A popup will appear; press Copy or Move (I always choose copy, because you can change your mind later). A confirmation window will appear, along with a checkbox to Move the file (i.e., delete the source) if desired. Press OK and you're done!

Once you get used to it, you'll find it to be one of the best (I think it's THE best) root or non-root file manager out there.

Thanks very much Mr Lucky and Hadron. I can move files now.
I have created a folder under /sdcard/Documents and have copied some downloaded .pdf files into it. I would now like to copy the folder to a desktop page on my Galaxy Note 3 for quick and easy accessibility. Hopefully someone can let me know how to do this.

X-plore includes a shortcut widget that does this. Select the widget and it will open X-plore. Select the folder you want as a shortcut and then press OK.

The thing you have to remember about X-Plore is that it is a DUAL-pane file explorer. Dependent on which pane you are in, the 'arrow' at the top left or right of the screen will tell you in which direction the file will go. So pay attention to that for quick reference. It also allows you to switch between the 2 panes easily by simply clicking it.
