Yahoo!Mail notification lags badly

My Yahoo!Mail app's notification used to work well. If a mail came in the app on my N1/2.2.3 would notify me within seconds. But that has changed: now some notifications of incoming mail take 3 hours to get displayed on my N1/2.2.3, while others mails, to the same account, still get their notifications within seconds to the phone...

This makes the notification system very unreliable, and thus virtually useless. I now find myself manually checking my Yahoo!Mail accounts...

Anybody have the same problems? And/or a solution?

Thanks, guys, but neither is a solution to speeding up Yahoo!Mail's notification and re-establishing its reliability of course. And Mapdroid refuses/doesn't know how to link to some of my email accounts.
