Does anyone know how to just receive regular emails instead of everything, like bulk and spam emails?

hmm how did you set it up?

I just added my e-mail address to HTC's e-mail client letting it automatically set-up my connection.

I don't get anything but my "in-box" e-mails, the "spam" folder ones don't come to the phone...

I only receive my Inbox mail, as well. My only issue is that I commonly receive a "Login Failed" message. Anyone else seeing this?

Yahoo Mail doesnt work if your connected to Wi-Fi. Just go to settings-wireless networks and disconnect wifi. Its easy to turn on off. This has been mentioned many times. I had the same question when I got mine. Works fine using 3g.

I had the same issue with one of my Yahoo accounts. I fixed it by selecting to immediately delete any spam mail that came to my Yahoo account (under Mail Options in Yahoo).

Are you using POP with Yahoo directly to your phone?

What I did was enable POP in Yahoo and then set gmail to automatically pull my Yahoo email. That way your email goes directly to your gmail on your phone and gmail's spam filter can catch anything that yahoo doesn't.

What's the difference between forwarding mail from yahoo to gmail and having gmail pull from yahoo using POP?

I have yahoo plus but I can't get the phone to sync with the server and I'm tired of deleting emails on my phone and then again when I log in from my pc.

The difference is that it you can actually reply "from" your yahoo address within gmail if you use POP, I think...

Gmail can also mark all of your mail as read when it checks it, whereas a forward just sends a copy over.

Slightly off topic but does anyone know how to get Yahoo mail on the extended home screen view, the one that you right swipe to access? I have both Gmail and Yahoo mail on the phone with Yahoo set as my default mail. ONLY Gmail shows up on that extended home screen view and I'd rather it be Yahoo because that's what I always use. Anyone?

If i understand you correctly, go to the page you want it on, tap the "+" in the lower right, select widget, select the plain "mail" widget (should say "htc" underneath

I just tried that and it's telling me there's no room on the screen because the Gmail widget is on there already. Do you know if I can remove the Gmail widget?? Or is it ALWAYS there?
