    It seems strange to me.
Yahoo own flickr, and Google own Picasa.

So why has my Google Android phone have no native Picasa App?

I use Flickr personally but also wondered this as I prefer the Picasa web functionality (but not the sharing method). I did notice someone posted that they had a Picasa uploader built into their phone which I think was an older Android phone.

The X10 has a Picasa tab in gallery I have just noticed: Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Reviews: Mediascape | Google Android Blog

I used to use Flickr Pro, and i found it was a nice photo community site.
However i have now changed over to Google Picasa, as i like the upload feature, and with a 50mb broadband connection i uploaded all of my photos (24gb) with no effort.
I have one or two gripes but nothing major, i hardly use Photoshop Elements now.

I'm sure a google Picasa app must be on it's way.

It does work well yes but really we should have a nice Picasa tab within gallery I think.

Normally, Android 2.1 comes with it, but HTC created their own Gallery, with no Picasa support. But you can still get Picasa, though. Just need to download something, click here to the instructions.

Cheers for the link, can i download and install it via laptop, phone still waiting for sim unlock code. Also, there are a few apps i'd like to try, is it worth waiting for the apps2sd card to be implemented in the firmware?
    Lastly, how clean are uninstalls?

    Thanks V Much

I am also surprised there is no official Android imaging app, either to do some simply editing or to manage your pics on your phone and enable easy uploading to the web albums. I know the Gallery has a picasa upload option but often I want to do a bit to cleaning up first.

Picasa is apparently being reborn as Google Photo's in the coming months, as part of Google+ so maybe we'll see something after that?

Now I have tried Google+ I think that may be why they haven't released a Picasa app. Google+ integrates very well with Picasa and even allows auto-upload of camera photos.
