Hi All,

Looking at the new Yarvik 9.7" IPS tablet. My main reasons for it is just the battery life to view some films on a flight and hopefully to browse internet and check email with the wifi if I find any free hotspots on holiday! Does anybody have this tablet or a similar model from Yarvik? Mixed reviews online at the moment.

I see its not google-certified so no android market/google play but I suppose android apps are freely available else where or would I be missing out?

That's another one I've never heard of tonight. They have a website though, contact details are anonymous webform only, no street address, no phone numbers. Are they in China? Although the name Yarvik sounds rather unusual for a Chinese tech manufacturer. Devices that are not Google certified are usually typical for China, as Google has nothing to do with Android here.

Welcome to AF :) make yourself at home.

Actually I think they made one or two pretty good tablets. When Yarvik GoTab Zetta was launched in UK it wasn't exactly cheap but it has good specs. Here is a quick review of the 9.7-inch GoTab Zetta tablet with IPS display.
I am not sure but I don't think they are Chinese, I think the company that makes these tablets (Sweex) is situated in the Netherlands.
