[ROM] [25/05/2010] [FROYO 2.2] [ N1 Froyo FRF50 Port] [Androbin_Froyo_2.2 with OC] - xda-developers
Sweet, was looking forward to trying this
Great, shouldn't be long before a stablish ROM comes along then.
Yeah I had a read through that thread and it sounds like pretty much all of it needs fixing. I guess I'll wait for an AOSP one.
Nathan over at the VillainROM forums has said he's been working on a 2.2 port too. And it's in better shape than this one by the sound of it.
Still no 2.x kernel though.....
Anyone have any news on froyo for hero? I'm guessing still on the works
They've hit a roadblock at the moment as they don't have a driver for 'legacy' hardware. Once something like 2.2 for the T-Mobile Mytouch 3G is in circulation they should have something to work with.
What additions does Froyo have from 2.1 ?
The most significant addition is the JIT compiler, which will make apps run much faster.
Have a read of this, it's all the stuff they promised at the Google I/O.
Android 2.2 Is 2x to 5x Faster For Apps (Plus So Many More Features)
