From reading the posts here it seems like some people have horrible problems with their droids regarding battery life, random resets and programs force closing.

I have had none of these problems and it seems that those who have might have had earlier batches. Mine is 42/09 and I have no problems, how about you?

I had a 42/09 and had HORRIBLE battery life (actually did get better though) but it would loose its charge while on the charger over night so I exchanged it for a 44/09 and haven't been happier since.

I have a 39/09 from release day. It's had a few goofy quirks, but nothing that isn't normal for the phone and OS. For the most part, it works flawlessly and battery life is excellent.

Smart phone batteries take a few cycles to reach potential? Yes/no?

People hitting the "Market" hard, thinking all apps are corporate developed, fully tested, and fully compatible with android 2.0 and the DROID?

I have a 44/09, which I can't put down since purchased last Sat., and all is well...since I ditched the native POP3 app.

Got my 39/09 on the 6th, had it freeze once. It has had excellent battery life since cycling it a few times.

I only say this because some people had certain problems that went away when they exchanged their apparent lemon of a phone for a new one which was of a more recent production run.

I've got a 40/09. I've had some issues that I've been able to remedy, w/ the exception of random restarts. I wasn't crazy about the battery life at the beginning, but now it's performing much better.

Its not a version is a manufacturing date. They all came off the same line and its doubtful that they even made any changes in such a small range.

43/09.. the ONLY problem I have had with my phone so far is that it froze on me once (Handcent) and I had to wait about 30 seconds. I dont go crazy with apps, and dont put all kinds of crazy crap on my phone, so maybe thats why. hehe.

Well, I did have a couple glitches today. One I made a video for and posted a new thread about (http://androidforums.com/motorola-droid/20214-ringer-volume-glitch-w-video.html - no replies, so I must be alone with that one).

Later, all my icons and widgets disappeared.

    Restarts fixed both.

I have a 44/09 that I received on Nov 20th and it has been working GREAT! Only "issues" is the Marketplace Forced Closed about 3 times. I had 2-3 other apps to the same once or twice but I think I did that by just being too excited and rushing through everything. Speed is great, camera works great, browsing is FAST...All in all I got a GOOD ONE!

43/09 (launch day purchased :p) and it works great. A few small hickups here and there...it has hard frozen twice...once in a while when I double tap to zoom it scrolls down really fast. No problems with a loose battery door...really no other hardware issues to speak of.

My battery life is excellent...as long as I manage apps that like to do stuff in the background.
