Hello Android fans, I have a question about the Youtube App. I am using version 5.3.28. In my settings, I've put a check mark in the Never Remember History. The problem is it stills remembers my search and viewing history. Is this a bug? Is there a way to stop it from remembering my search and viewing history? Thanks
I had a search history (same version). I just checked not to remember and I cleared the history. There was no history. I did a search, closed the app, ran it again and there was no history. I don't know why yours doesn't work.
Clear the cache and data for the Youtube app, restart it, then check the never remember box. Does it still remember stuff then?
Did that many times and it stills remembers Yes, it still does... Anyway, I appreciate the suggestions from both of you. Right now, my only solution is not to sign in when using the youtube app, that way it doesn't remember my viewing history. Again thanks to both of you
Just so you know, it could be remembering your viewing history from your Computer if you sign into the same youtube/google account.
On my computer it doesn't remember my viewing and search history because I followed this step by step guide https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2012/...and-search-history-googles-new-privacy-policy As you can see, the youtube on my computer is doing what I wanted, but youtube on android isn't. Well that's mobile like
Hmm, that's really strange then. I'm not going to ask why you need this feature, but it seems that your main work around is going to be just logging out of the account.
