Youtube video quality poor

Very pleased so far. Still need to learn Android. I was wondering is the youtube video quality poor on the EVO or Android in general?

I'm so used to my old 3GS that was jailbroken, the quality was excellent.
But now they all look so choppy on the EVO.

Any suggestions to improve it?

You tube app, hit menu, settings and select always play in high quality. Don't play them in the browser unless you are using the hacked flash 10.1 which you can get on xda under themes and apps.

I was just watching some snowmobile vids on youtube, the ones i watched were amazing.... compared to my Hero.

youtube on the browser, seems to run at a lower quality than the youtube app. With the app at hd, it should look very nice and run smooth

Just tested this out, went to the YouTube app and found an HD video (2012 trailer) and watched it side-by-side on my computer. Not only did the phone load the video nearly as fast as on my computer, but the quality was almost identical; the computer's quality was maybe 5-10% better. I am super pleased with that.

with this its pointless to hit the HQ button right? or will hitting the HQ button make it a little better

you only get hq with 4g or wifi on.

I can kick it on while under 3g just fine. The buffering speed is a bit slower, but it still keeps up great.
