Help YouTube won't play videos.

I have seen many phones with this problem but I can't find a fix for the F3. When I try to play a video the app just sits there with the buffering circle spinning endlessly. The app works on WiFi but not on 3g network. Anyone know how to fix this?

Have you reached your GB data limit and possibly being throttled on your data speed?

no I just topped up. its been like this for months. I can watch videos on the mobile site with 3g but not on the app.

Try uninstalling the updates, and see if that helps. Go to settings, apps, then you tube. Uninstall the updates, then try to use the basic you tube app.
is your provider using sprint? It could be a ota signal problem.

not sure I'm on virgin mobile. I'll try deleting updates. I'd rather not do it because I like how it works but I'm out of ideas.

It's Virgin. Sounds like they're throttling the 3G speed, or it just isn't fast enough.

but it plays fine on the mobile site with HQ.

Maybe the youtube app goes through a different port? Sorry, other than doing a force stop, uninstalling updates and deleting data and cache, I'm not sure what else might help.

Try backing up ur YouTube app into a apk formal den uninstall the update and clear the data den reopen the youtube app an let it load fresh and see if it works and if all goes well jus go to the YouTube apk dat u backed up and install it back

I tried that and it worked but the quality is terrible on the older versions.

it seems the latest YouTube update has fixed my problems. to all who have the same issues update YouTube.

I use an older black/inverted version of YouTube, v4.5.17 to be exact.
