zedge vs. Zedge----Policing of scam apps?

I was warned in a few places about look-a-like apps with near identical or outright identical names. I then noticed that there is a "zedge" app (zedge) that has a pirate looking Android bot as its icon.

Assumption check: Is this a scam/fake? It can only be installed for $1.10, and it has only 1 review (5 *'s) and isn't the well known Zedge app (Zedge).

Is there a standardized policing of these things in the works somewhere?

Thanks!

Yeah, you got to be careful with apps and especially those kind of apps.
Most likely has malware or something on it unlike the original.
Kinda like Angry birds and Angry birdz you know?
And it's 1 review and 5 stars also raise an eyebrow too.
Nice that you noticed this and it's good you read the reviews first and the comments.
I'd say it's a fake or pirated app someone is trying to make a profit of off.
That's just me. :)
