Help Zenithink Factory Data Reset Problem

I apologize in advance if this was answered on another thread and I couldn't find it.

Just got a Zenithink 10.2" tablet (OS 2.1), and I want to change the google account that I originally signed in with. To remove the account, the tablet says that I need to do a "factory data reset", which I have tried with no luck. The tablet's screen goes blank shortly after it starts to reboot (I waited at least 20 minutes for it to do something). After turning off the device and restarting, none of my personal data has been deleted.

Suggestions?

Factoy reset has Not been implemented yet, and was these work I'm not so sure that they can... only way to go back to factory start is to burn the firmware for all 4 sections... basically a full update... so you will loose all setup to date..

I can't believe they would leave out such a basic and important function.

Can you recommend a reliable web site that has instructions for reinstalling the firmware? I am new to the android platform and don't want to screw up my tablet.

Hi, I just got my own Zenithink off eBay and encountered the same problem, as the seller "tests" every device and it was linked to their test account. Now, I can try and return it but I would prefer to flash it. Any assistance on the most reliable/least likely to brick method would be appreciated, I have noticed the device IS rooted, and can be browsed with programs like DroidExplorer

I suggest you look over on Slatedroid where we have a whole section on the ZT-180 tablets as all you questions should have answers on the FAQ Wiki
