    Is there an app for extracting files from a zip file? Such as Winrar on a PC. Thanks guys for any help.

    sure you could unzip a .zip file on a PC with something like winrar. Or, on a mac, just double click.

    The latest version of WinZip includes support for RAR archives.

    I use root explorer, but androzip also works (non- root).

    RootExplorer, AndroZip, Astro file manager.. all three will open .zip files, as I'm sure most other file managers will as well. As for .rar, I'm not sure as I never had the need for it personally.

    I can confirm AndroZip (free in the market) can indeed extract .RAR (along with .ZIP, .7ZIP, .GZIP, .TAR, .BZIP2) files on your phone. I've used it several times for .RAR files.

    or on any Windows system since XP, just double click :rolleyes:
