hi folks !

i recently bought a galaxy. i love the phone, except for a few concerns.

1. how do i zoom while using camera ? i thought that the volume keys would act as the zoom options, instead they only incr / decr the volume even when using camera.

2. battery lasts only for 12 hours.

my usage is

call - 20 mins
txt msg - 30 mins
camera - 20 mins
music - 30 mins apprx.

i don't use wi-fi. i have turned off auto sync and background data, turned off auto brightness and set the brightness level to the least value.
still the battery doesn't stay long.

3. does locking the phone means the phone is in sleep mode ?

4. do i have the latest firmware ?

my galaxy's info :

Kernel version : 2.6.27 imtrs@SE-S506 #5
Build number : 76XXCSDBALUM6375
Baseband version : I7500DDII3

i am using GSM connection.
i have not done anything like rooting, flashing etc.

pls help me guys

1. No zoom, but with big resolution like 5MP you can crop the image later without losing quality.

3. When you lock it should go to sleep mode unless some applications are running and therefore waking the phone (if 12h it should be your case). The camera button should be the issue.

4. No, there is currently newer versions of the FW
