Zooming on web page annoying glitch

This seems to be worse on some web pages than others, so my guess is it has something to do with the way the browser interprets the markup..

But when I pinch to zoom on a page, everything seems fine, until once I reach the desired zoom level, lifting my fingers off the screen causes it to jump, sometimes quite considerably to the left or right! This is infuriating! Has anyone else had this problem and is there a way to fix?

Btw, I got my desire last week and am now running 2.2.
