some one made a video, and did not credit me for finding this stuff
I can tell everyone, that is one of the reasons I do not develop any more, and If I ever find a way to disable the WP on the newer phones or anything else like this, I will try to make some type of app to perform it and charge everyone 10 or 20 bucks for the app, or just keep it a secret.
I WOULD BE CAREFUL DOING THIS WITH THE ZTE PRESTIGE
IT SEEM THE NEW VERSIONS OF SOME TYPE OF ROOT CHECKING IN IT, AND IF YOU ROOT YOUR PHONE IT WILL NO LONGER BOOT PAST THE ZTE LOGO, EXCEPT IF YOU ARE BOOTING INTO FTM MODE
Daaamn.. Thanks for the heads up
im on the z959 grand x3
So you root with pc first then use terminal to do the reboot and rw?
this is how I would try it
Use a spare computer if you have one, KingoRoot is kind of shady, and installs crap apps
If you do not have a spare computer, do some type of system backup on your computer or use the Windows system restore and make a restore point.
disable any security apps that came with phone or that you installed on phone
enable unknown sources on phone
enable developer options on phone
enable usb debugging on phone
hook phone up to computer and install the usb drivers on computer
obtain a copy of adb and install it on the computer http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
open windows command prompt on computer and type
you should see your device listed there, if not something is wrong and you need to figure out what it is before you continue
if your device is listed type
adb reboot disemmcwp
the phone should reboot at this point, if it does not, then something is not right
then install KingoRoot on computer and root the phone
So do i not have to reboot emmcwpenab or do that after root?
you only do that if you want to re-enable system write protection, most people dont do it
No thank you
you did not like any of my posts
did not even say whether it worked or not
I think I am done helping people here
Understandable, Sir. Your help has always been wonderful ..but it's only been a cpl hrs, he's probably still trying to get it right or really excited and messing with it. Maybe he got too excited and accidentally erased a wrong file.. [emoji13][emoji92]
yeah, I think you right on that one, we shall see
Im just now about to try it i dont have internet at my house so i had to go to parents house to use computer sorry if i seem unappreciative but truat me ive been tryingbto root this x3 since it came out so your a huge help even if doesnt work
i downloaded the adb and installed it but nothing is showing up
Might be off the rooting topic but I have this phone and the video playback on facebook is horrible it skips to the end have you heard about this or do you know a fix?
no, it was just me being impatient
describe in full detail, step by step what you have done, dont leave out anything
If you are using Win10, there's some settings/boxes in control panel or UEFI somewhere that prevent driver installation until unchecked. Unchecked that box & install the drivers. That box will reset itself upon reboot but drivers will remain installed. FYI
I am on win10 I need help I am complely lost right now i feel like an idiot i cant even get kingoroot to download juat keep getting error 500 i have the comand promp ready to reboot but cant get root downloaded on comp do you happen to have a link to a downloaf you know works? I whent to the offivial site and didnt work same error ive been at this for 3-4hrs and im getting mad but i need it rooted lol and help is greatly appreciated and thanks in advanced
do you want me to connect to your computer with Team Viewer and help you ?
Get your drivers installed first or you'll have a massive trouble getting anything else done at all in Windows. Hence, one of the may reasons to use Linux (no drivers needed). Working with Android in Windows is like using a conversion of a conversion, which obviously doesn't work well since Android is MADE from Linux
i am no longer in access of a computer and the internet there is way to slow i wish we still had our internet so i could have you help i did the drivers install from the link like i said befor i only rooted an s4 befor and that was very simple im not any good at this mayb i should have whent in the army for computer tech instead of mechanics haha
What all drivers is there? I downloaded i think 4 from that one link but i cant find anything is it diffrent for win10?
Your ZTE drivers are within the actual device that can be accessed when plugging in USB and selecting "install drivers".. After you unchecked that box first
Can you get temp root with kingroot? If you can get temp root you'll be able to use the command directly on your phone with a terminal emulator app.
