Hi,

I just got the motorola Droid from Verizon. I'm super excited and have been using it a little today. I'm a very techie person so I love this phone.

I've installed some apps and games already and I'm just getting used to the phone and Andriod. I've never used the system before so I guess I'm a noob at it.

Anyone got any tips, ideas, good apps, etc?

Is there anyway to get apps from different places? Is that even recommended?

Anyway...I hope to learn a lot from the forums!

Lots of good tips and ideas. You should check out the Droid specific forums for more in depth information.

Yes, you can get apps from other places. You'll need to check the Unknown Sources in Settings > Applications first. As always, dont install it if you have to question its safety.

Being new, theres a lot to take in. I'll let you get to it.
