So this ends July 15th while the other never ends. What's the point then of this?

seems to be a few upgrades
for posting? just to give others the chance of testing it out,
without breaking rules and getting the mod police after me.

the july 15th end? does that mean player stops working or they will stop downloads? comes out of beta? becomes pay for app? dunno

here is a question for you, where is the "old" one installed? as in full path, i have not been able to find it yet

Old one installed? I just have the .apk and used astro to install it. That's it.....

ok this is how i set it up;

first download the .apk from the link above.

then copy the .apk to your sdcard, doesnt matter where, i used the root of the sdcard.

then open a file manager such as astro, find the .apk you put in the root of the sdcard and click it and instal it.

now obviously you need to have movies on your phone, all of mine are on my sdcard in a folder named...you guessed it "movies"

for example i have black hawk down in avi format, i went into my app draw found the newly installed rockplayer app i opened it, it then showed me all of my files on my sdcard i scrolled down to movies folder, then i scrolled through my movies in there clicked on black hawk down and it played it flawlessly you can also adjust it as far as being native widescreen, stretch it and make it fullscreen.

its pretty simple

I don't know. I rip DVDs using DVDcatalyst to the HTC Incredible setting. It's possible I'll have to convert AVI files, but considering it'll see internal storage it's a fair trade-off. Players that can't see the internal are pretty much useless to me.

ah ok, for me it is easier just to stick them on card.
Really dont want to convert from .avi, plus I have many in 3gp.
This is the strength of android, allowing one to customize.
