Otterbox Defender Is Ready

Just got my e-mail from Otterbox. The Defender case is ready to be shipped. I have the Commuter case which is nice, Looks the the Defender also has a belt case. Anyone getting it? TC

I'll probably try it when I find it cheaper like on eBay. That's where I got my Commuter for $22. It couldn't be bigger than the Evo though and it does have a belt clip case. TC

yea, i also just got the email....i have the commuter at the moment but i want the belt clip. If anyone finds it cheaper somewhere else, please post. i got the commuter for $20 at another site. $50 is a little too much for me for the change.

I decided to drop 50 bucks to give it a try. My son as that series for his iPhone 3GS and he really likes it. He drops his phone all the time. My only complaint with the commuter is the slick sides. I have come close to dropping my phone a dozen or so times because of that. This new case has a better grip on the sides. I am sure those of us who get the new case will talk about it on here.

I am also intrigued by this case as well even though it is big I really dig the belt clip! I also have the commuter case but am now considering getting this one. Let us know what you think TC.

Seriously, though, I'm broke or would have ordered this the minute I got the email. These cases are sweet, a friend of mine has one for his iphone, and it is the real deal for people who beat on their phones....

I ordered it withing 5 minutes of getting the email. I have the defender series case on both my blackberry 8530 and iPod touch, I had one on my BB 8330. I found the blackberry cases on ebay for about 30 bucks, the other 2 were purchased directly from otterbox the day they were released.

The defender series cases are every bit as durable as they look. My iPod has taken several trips to the pavement from 4-6 feet with not a scratch on it, My 8330 bounced down 2 flights of concrete steps, the plastic on the otterbox was scuffed up a bit, but the phone was untouched.

Fit and finish is decent, the plug for the audio jack is a tight fit, but other than that, this case definitely live up to my expectations of the defender series case.

The Commuter protects the track ball in a way with the large lip on the bottom. Is the track ball sticking up above the case in this one? How about a side view. Thanks, TC.
