So I opened up one corner to take off the case then the exoskeleton cracks... wow i never thought it would break. I was just trying to take off the case to put on my backup battery.

I also dropped my phone 4ft then the corner of the exoskeleton breaks apart.... really one drop and the corner breaks apart? I thought this case would last for a longer time.

EDIT1: actually it was less than 4 ft, i was on my bed. so 2-3 ft.

EDIT2: 3rd crack...the bottom left corner of the exoskeleton CRACKED after I took it off to replace the battery. I didn't even touch the bottom side to take off exoskeleton (added picture)

EDIT3: wow... it cracks again from trying to remove the exoskeleton, added picture.

Pictures taken from evo.

IMO this product has bad build quality. The newly designed active cases
look much better / stronger, but I'm not going to spend another $30
for a case.

And which would you rather happen after dropping the phone 4 feet - the $30 case breaking, or the $500 phone breaking?

I think the case more than served its purpose.

Guess you completely skipped the first paragraph from the OP.

This isn't a debate whether he should or should not have a case, it's about the quality of Seidio products. Hell I haven't dropped my Innocase 2 yet and it's still the worst piece of plastic I've ever had to pay $30 for.

I would have taken the case off a long time ago if it wasn't for the protruding camera lens. Now I'm just waiting it out for the Otterbox Commuter.

Wow, sorry to hear that man. Although the case breaking and not your phone after a 4ft drop onto the corner is something to be happy about.

Comparing your photos to my case, it looks like that crack to the left of the camera port would likely not happen with the newer design. The new design extends all the way to the edge of the back so there is less stress on the area surrounding the openings. The corner would probably have still cracked but thats what you want to happen after a drop. 4ft is a pretty significant drop, especially with a corner landing.
