HTC DROID Incredible to be updated to Froyo end of July, early August

I wanted to pass along that the upcoming Incredible MR will also include Froyo (originally it was going to be two separate MRs).

That does fall inline with explaining why MichaelWeston's tip got sideways and the OTA never rolled out...

Would be nice - filing this under the "Great if it pans out!" tab...

*But, I ain't clearing my calendar for late July/early August until I see something from HTC/Verizon on this... :p

within 2 weeks ,I'll take that too.

To me this means anywhere between today and a month from now.

"Early August" is pretty much anything between Aug 1-15.

My guess is we'll see it later as opposed to sooner. IF this is real (who the hell knows anymore?!) then it'll probably happen closer to that Aug 15th date.

Have to admit, it wouldn't surprise me at all if HTC isn't really busting their butts to get this out before the Droid X does.

Call it what you will, but I love mine as much as my own kids... almost. ROFL

Oh and that Dark chocolate could use a cherry. Red? Get it? Heee I'm so excited I've enarly forgotten that I missed my Fed Ex shipment.

Oh I was just kidding :) I love mine (not sure as much as you do yours though LOL).

Incredible for me, Droid X for wife, Android rules in our house. :D

Since the OTA leak was technically an update and not major firmware change (like eris going from 1.5-2.1) would there be really be any issues? Just curious as I'm a noob when it comes to these things.

It contained a radio update.

So, yes, it could possibly fail to install or brick your phone if you installed it over the OTA leak.

You would want to downgrade first.
