Question for people who installed the zagg

Hi All,

I have some very ocd type questions, but I figured what the hell might as well ask.

I had bestbuy install a zagg for me last night on my droid (just the screen). The install was done around 8:30/9pm, I went home and left hte phone over night (I should mentioned the guy at bestbuy turned the phone back on after he was cleaning the phone off).

I woke up this morning, noticed there were some dirt specs on the phone and a few (like 2 or 3) minor air bubbles. I decided to wipe off the dirt and then leave the phone alone. Now I didn't technically wait the 12 to 24 hours, I waited more like 11 or so. Is that bad to have not let it sit that extra hour? Or am I just being really stupid.

My other fear is the fact that the phone was turned on all night, I mean it powers on, the screen works, but could something have gotten ruined and I'm just not seeing it yet?

Thanks for any help!

I hate to mentally inflate your already shaken state. But, I hope you changed your google passwords. My biggest fear is losing control of my phone with it powered up. It contains too many easily breached accounts, Google, Amazon, Facebook, Twitter... The amount of information that could be gained from your handset it truly staggering. Next time you leave your handset with somebody, you might take the battery with you, just for safety.

Of course, that's just me. I'm sure no actual personal information was compromised in your case...

HEHEHE :D

I think your phone is fine. I have installed a number of Zagg protectors (including before Zagg owned them) and have never had a problem. And I don't remember ever waiting the full time. The bubbles normally work themselves out in a couple of days and when you say dirt on the screen, I hope you mean on the surface because if the dirt is under the protector, then that isn't going to go away.

Yes it was on the surface. It looks like maybe a hair or two is under the protector, or that could just be the way the bubbles are.

Thanks though for the info!

Did Best Buy Charge you to install it. I hate installing those things, and does Best Buy have a warranty on them? I read that some Best Buys offer Ghost Armor installs for $20.00 but It seems to only be in AZ. Thanks all.

They do charge for the install, since I got just the screen done it was 8 bucks. For warranty work they refered me to the zagg kiosk at the mall down the road.
