Help A little help please...

In an effort to increase battery life I dumped the Beautiful widget with clock and weather that I had running on my home screen. I am now attempting to run the HTC clock widget with the white flip clock and weather. The problem is that when I go into the settings and choose to "Update Automatically" I get a Data Warning message, I choose "yes" but the Auto Update NEVER stays checked and thus does not update. I have tried the wi-fi on, and no change, but that would negate the move to increase battery life, right...

Am I missing something here?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I do not know the answer, but if you can not get it here here are a few free options:

fancy widget
Retro clock/retro date/weatherbug or theweatherchannel

I use the retro and weatherbug combo and fancy widget is almost identical to the hTC widget.

I hiope you find an answer, I wish I had it for you.

Thanks for the input. I will check those two out.

Have you tried to restart your phone?

Yeah, tried that right off.

It seems odd to me. Seems even more odd that nobody here has any clue... So many people here have an in depth knowledge of these devices...
