Accessories Case for jogging?

Ok so the Dr tells me I have to start jogging or doing some form of exercise if I want to live long enough to enjoy all these tech toys I keep buying.

So, I have a regular leather belt case for my X, but I'm not likely to be wearing a belt when I go jogging.

What is a good case to use for jogging or exercising (keep in mind I will likely be wearing t shirt, and shorts or sweatpants).

I don't want to hold it because I'm afraid I'll get sweaty and accidentally drop the phone.

I'll be using the X to stream pandora or listening to MP3's while jogging and incase I get called by work (I'm on call 24x7).

Thanks!

This phone isn't good for jogging since it's HUGE. Also, if you have it on your shorts it will be too heavy and fly up and down as you jog--this will be very annoying. You're best bet is to wait for an arm band of some sort to come out or just hold it.

I don't recommend putting it on your shorts--im sure you'll find out quick why.

I know this doesn't answer your question, but consider this "thinking outside the box" :)

How about just getting a cheap, light-weight mp3 player? Granted it wont' do pandora, but it can play a ton of music nonetheless.

here's what i've got - the SanDisk Sansa Clip. Very light, works great for running. goes in the pocket very easily.

SanDisk Sansa Clip+ MP3 Player

Now if only I had the motivation to run :) (i use mine while mowing the lawn mostly)

You missed the part where I said I'm on call for work 24x7 so I need to have a phone with me as well :)

This case fits my Droid X amazingly well. It's a perfectly snug fit with no chance of it escaping!

BELKIN Dual Fit Sport Armband fits iPhone 4 3Gs 3G, NEW - eBay (item 380243467967 end time Aug-15-10 13:37:07 PDT)

I used it today to run with, and it worked effortlessly. The screen fills the viewable area almost exactly. I only tried it with the hump at the top so I had to look at my arm all awkwardly. I don't know if it can fit in upside down, but regardless, the only part that doesn't fit in there is the top from the notification bar and up, but you can easily stretch the armband to fit it.

I'm not kidding. I recommend this thing completely. If anyone would like pictures of it, I'd be willing to get me mum's Incredible and upload some!

Here you go. They are decent size pictures. I just took a few quick snaps of it with me mum's Incredible. If you need anything else, just let me know. As you can see in the one picture, the bulge pops out a tiny bit, but it's definitely not noticeable when you run. Also, it has two slots to put the band through as you can see in the last picture. The slot mine is on is the second one, so that means I pull it through the one closest to the phone then loop it out the one on the right end. That makes it rather tight, but since my arm isn't large, it works nicely. If you have bigger arms, the right end slot works perfectly as well. It will hold extremely well.

Any other questions just let me know! Here are the pictures now:

I am guessing it doesnt slip out of the pouch much?
Honestly, the only slipping it did was up from the pouch. Basically, the band itself pushed the phone up because I force it down to where the buttons are below the plastic film so I can see the WHOLE screen. The phone fits perfectly in there, I promise you, but....... you cannot use it with a case as you can see in the picture. It is the tightest squeeze possible without one.

Dude your not that puny.

Awe!! :D Thank you! :D :D Haha. I'm only 5'6" and 170 lbs so I feel like I am tiny. :p

Just an update. I love this case that I've been using. The band holds perfectly, and it has a slot to hold a key so if you go run and don't want to hold your keys, bam! This thing is honestly the perfect armband. It's secure, it's extremely operational. It works. I love it and recommend it wholeheartedly.

^Thanks for the info. Just wondering, have you done any weight lifting with that case? Just wondering if it restricts your movement much. When I had an iPhone I just kept it in my pocket while I was working out, but with the Droid X it seems like something like the belkin case may be a better solution.
I haven't done any weight lifting with this case yet. Honestly, if it does restrict your movement, you can always loosen it a little bit. All I've done so far with it was run and we all know that it doesn't take much movement of your arm. So I'm not honestly sure how well this will be. If I were to work out, I would still wear this regardless, but that's because I have experience with the arm band and I feel it would work extremely well.

Ordered me one of those arm bands. Thanks Shamrock! With the pics, helps me tremendously in finding an arm band for this X.
You're quite welcome! I'm glad I could be of assistance to anyone here. Honestly, when I had my Incredible, I was looking for arm bands for a bit but never decided to buy one. Then I purchased this one for my mom's Incredible, and when it arrived, I decided why not try my X in here! When I did, I was so amazed that it fit and extremely snuggly that I decided this is what I'm going to use from now on.

It's so worth it. I'm glad you guys are taking my word for it. :)

For mountain biking I prefer to place the DX in a decent case and throw it in the bag under my seat - under the worst case scenario I can't imagine it ever getting damaged in there.

I use the Jabra Clipper (clipped to the top of my t shirt) to stream pandora via bt to my ear buds. I can then listen to music, control volume, skip to the next song and take phone calls with the built in mic.

When mountain biking I can't afford to have a cord dangling from ears to arm band - one branch later and something is getting ripped out...either the buds or the jack, possibly damaging the dx.
