wtf verizon

so i ordered my droid x online the 19th when it said ship by 7/27! i am reading all these forums and people that ordered them the 22nd and 23rd when it said ship by 8/3 already got there phones and i didn't even get a tracking number yet! better get it tomorrow! btw im going away Thursday and i want my phone before i go away because i wont be back until 8/3!

Ship by means it will go out the 27th and might get to you the 29th at the latest. Just be patient, I know its hard but you won't have much longer! Reading these forums doesn't help tho lol

Trust me I feel your pain. I ordered mine on the release date (7/15) and it didnt even ship until yesterday when it was supposed to ship on the 23rd! Seems like they have been filling a lot of the orders recently though so... im just glad mine will finally be here tomorrow!

Have you checked your order status? Did you ever get any confirmation of the order?

Keep in mind that there can be varying situations. Are you a new customer or renewing a contract? Did you pay cash, put it on a credit card or bill it to your account? Do you have a credit history with Verizon? Any outstanding or late payments? Some other posts seem to suggest that such factors may make some orders take much longer to process than others. Someone with a long history with Verizon, who has had no late payments and who is paying by cash or credit card is much less risk and therefore may get approved faster. I know that this doesn't necessarily help with the frustration but you can't necessarily compare other's experiences to yours unless you also know that you have similar situations.

oh well i talked to a rep and they said the absolute latest it will ship is the 27th so im hoping!!!!!!!!
