I rooted about a week ago and had the OTA update and wifi connected no problem.. i have used CM6 nightly, and flashed a couple of other roms that i did not like (a kernel as well - OCkernel-5MT)..

i wanted 4g so decided to use the EViO 1.02 ROM.. now i cannot connect to my wifi router.. any solutions? i have flashed the latest radios..

i wiped data/cache/dalvik before flashing this rom, flashed both radios and still not connecting..

It shows the network is available, i am 110% sure i have put in the correct WEP password but just wont connect... I just keeps saying under Wi-Fi "disconnected"

Did you figure this out? I'm having the exact same issue right now.

Have you been able to connect to other networks? I went to a buddy's house and was able to connect so I knew my wifi worked and the problem was with my router.. I feel dumb but what solved the problem for me was to unplug my router for 30 seconds and let it reboot then it connected no problem

Yeah, I can connect to other WEP networks.,I think it's a WPA/WPA2 problem that I'm having with the EVO. I've reset my router 3 times and my laptop connects no problem. When I type in my password from my EVO it says "Obtaining IP Address" and then "Scanning", "Connecting" and then it loops back to "Obtaining Network Address". It won't Authenticate or something. It's driving me crazy.

I am also having this same problems with CM6... Did anyone find or know of a solution?

I've had this problem twice. Once it was fixed by just doing a wipe (I'd installed new kernel and so forth and forgot). I found the factory reset was sufficient - http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-support-troubleshooting/141369-how-fix-froyo.html

But you'll no doubt want to try the wipe from recovery.

The other time I had this, I'd driven around all day with the wifi on - before clearing everything out that time, I cycled power on the phone and it worked.

The other thing I _always_ recommend - use Wifi Analyzer (free, Market - and swipe left/right for various screens) - and ensure that on the screen that shows Signal Strength vs. Wifi Channels clears you that your network isn't on or very close to a channel in use by a neighbor. I found that case at a buddy's house - we reset his router channel and not only cleared up my connection to his wifi but also cleared up his speed / dropped packet issues on his laptop.

Hope this helps.
