Hello, this is my first post here and I wanted to know if there was anyway to turn off 3G and have wi-fi on?

I'll be in Canada later this week and I don't want to rack up any data charges while I'm over there. As long as I have data roaming off will I be ok?

Thanks in advance.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is BT radio? Apparently with my unlimited text plan, I can still send and receive texts without incurring any additional charges. I just don't want to use my voice or data

BT stands for Bluetooth. My technical side sometimes forgets that other people may not memorize technical shorthand; my apologies for that.

Since you still want to do texting, just turn off data roaming and you should be good.

You might want to verify that what you said holds when you cross the border. Carriers typically charge extra to send or receive while you're outside the US.

It is true. I go to canada often and have never been charged for texting. The company I work for has an office in Montreal and I text with my co-workers there all the time.
