I have a motorola droid phone model A855. I have two questions but maybe they are both related. First, my droid will start doing crazy stuff. On occassion, it will open my app menu and sometimes launch apps on it's own. It won't let me hit the "Back" button to close stuff out. I went to the Verizon store and the guy told me I had too many apps running and downloaded an app killer program by ReChild. Most of the times this works. On occassions it doesn't. It's almost like there is an app in control of my phone. The second question is my app folder shows my apps, but when I use the "Manage Apps" under settings to remove them, some of the apps does not show up. I downloaded App Manager by the Android App Team and it shows the app to delete but tells me the Uninstall was unsuccessful. Help! One of the apps in question is an app by Amazon called the MP3 Store

Amazon Mp3 store is a system app and cannot be removed without rooting. As far as the task killer thats verizons solution for everything. Personally I dont think task killers are required at all and really wish VZW would stop making them be the be all end all solution.

As far as your phone being self aware Im not sure. Usually this is caused by issues with the screen. Do you have a lot of apps installed?

And, most importantly, a lot of apps that auto-start? I have seen this happen with someone who only had a handful (~25) apps installed doing this - but every one was some sort of widget-based service app that was running services *and* apps in th background all the time - thing like VZW's usage app, Google Voice, 3G Watchdog service, Skype and other IM clients, Linked In client(s), Twitter apps, etc.
