Foyo killed my camera

Just installed the Android 2.2 (froyo) update on my desire. Now the camera will not work. If I try to start the camera or camcorder apps I just go back to the home screen. Barcode scanner will start but immediately show the error message

Sorry, the Android camera encountered a problem. You may need to restart the device.

I've tried restartig a few times, I even pulled the battery. But cannot get the camera working.

Is anyone having similar problems?

apparently people with this problem uninstalled flashlight and then it worked.

I had that problem. Removing LED Light 1.0.9 fixed it for me. Its not needed any more cos its built in now.

Thanks, that fixed it for me as well. Where do I find the built in flashlight?

its just in the list of apps called "Flashlight"

I have a widget called "Nexus One LED Flashlight" that works fine with the camera, well not at the same time which would be nice.

Widget is better than the flashlight application, who needs a dull torch. Toggling the light on and off is better.

Huh???

The HTC flashlight allows you to choose 3 brightness settings (of the LED) and it remembers your last setting the torch is just a pretty UI. It also has auto flash and SOS (a gimmick i know but in there anyway).
