My brother just posted on his FB that he updated to Froyo on his EVO. This makes me sad he's got it first, but glad cuz it can't be far off.

1d 7h since unplugged with about 20% remaining. I was lucky to get 14 hours before it died on 2.1 because of some awake time bug.

my battery is a bit worse. are you using the leaked #2 or first leak? i'm on first leak.

I chose not to go with the leaks because they were so user "unfriendly" when they first came out. Then, I don't even know how to root mine anyway.

I saw today that there's a 1-click root program out but then I saw my brother's post. If it's out for the EVO, it will be here very soon for the Inc (please, no thread titles on this )

I can wait.

I believe that is the case and it's the reason I haven't rooted yet. Well, one of them anyway, I'm also a coward. My phone is working too well to take a chance right now.

Yes, and for me the "cons" outweigh the "pros" by a lot!

The phone does everything I need it to do and tethering with PDAnet works great. So although I'd like to have wireless tethering and a WiFi hotspot, they are certainly not a necessity for me. There are apps that do everything I need for now.

I would consider rooting but have invested way too many hours in getting just the right apps, screen layouts, touchdown settings, widget and calendar configurations etc. to wipe clean simply to root and have to start all over again. Until there is a robust proven solution for porting a config. And app image from an unrooted to rooted Dinc. I'm gonna have to wait. Sux!
