Gearoid (Sega) Loading Roms?

I just installed gearoid Lite to try it out. (Gearoid Lite(SMS/GameGear emu) v1.7.0 Game for Android | Arcade & Action) I obtained a bunch of ROM files and put them on my SD card. (I have a MyTouch Slide.)

I go to load the roms in the app and it says, "no files found."

I also have NESoid by the way. it works great.

Any ideas? Is there a special process I need to go through?

I see this post when I search: Gearoid Lite(SMS/GameGear emu) v1.7.0 Game for Android | Arcade & Action

So this is for Sega? Does that mean it can play Sonic Adventure 2? Or is that for some different Sega system or something?

Sorry I can't help much with your question...do you have the BIOS file in there?

Thanks - I think the emulator is for sega game gear. Not sure. I never had one. A less technical friend of mine was asking about it.

I downloaded and unzipped the rom files onto a directory on my sd card. Nautilus (on my laptop) and Astro can both see them. When I try to open the file, it says, "not supported."

Hmm - wonder if I shouldn't unzip. I remember MAME using zipped files....
