I Love My EVO

I also did not realize at the time of purchase how much i would enjoy this phone. All i knew was that my blackberry was ancient, and I wanted to get a good smartphone. I was blown away by how capable the evo was.

And when i decided to root the phone to see what it was REALLY capable of, I was blown away all over again.

Small hands? Too Heavy? I don't understand. I seen one selling on ebay for over $500.00 sell it.

When I receive my working replacement from Asurion, I will sell it. It'll be my FOURTH EVO.

Problems I've had thus far:

Screen separation (unresponsive screen), light leakage, recessed power button (can't power my phone without using a sharp object). Shocking quality control.

For shame, HTC. For shame.

Sorry to hear that. Good luck with what you move too.

I'm still kind of mad that HTC is refusing to address any of the major issues like, for one, as everybody who has one (except the vision impaired) says, the general quality control. Two different screen manufacturers, different batteries, separating screens and light bleeding through onto the screen making it difficult or annoying to see/read through on the bottom, this is just stuff that could have easily been fixed by using one company for each part, not two or three.

Just all the little stuff that piles up to make one giant thing against the phone.

Have to say that of the cadre of Evo owners I personally know, which is getting larger daily (and would be much larger if there were Evo's available) NONE have had any of the above noted problems. Got mine on launch day and it has been flawless and have not heard any complaints with the other Evo owners that followed over the past couple of months.

Not in ANY WAY implying those issues haven't happen to you and it is a knock of what could be a giant of a phone (no pun intended). Im just stating my observations.

We all see pretty well too. ;-)

It never amaze me, the thread i assume is for the folks who are enjoying their phones but leave it to a few individuals to throw in a negative comment like enough of those aren't available on this forum already.

Well if you got a phone with screen separation (or mushy power button, or loose charge port), and you got multiple replacements that had the same issue, you'd prolly be posting a "negative" comment too. The poor guy is unlucky for sure. His area got a bad batch, and apparently that's all the stock they have, so all replacements are going to be bad as well.

And last I checked, we have freedoms on this forum, and nowhere in the rules does it say that your post has to agree with the OP's title.
