Ok well I have had this phone since April and it has been pretty disappointing overall with the whole not upgrading to Android 2.1 and such, but that's not the issue right now. I bought a new laptop about 2 weeks ago and I want to use my phone with my laptop. I download the drivers for the phone and they could not install and everytime I connect the phone to the computer it says the device is not recognized. The phone now can't connect and I can't see the files that are on the phone. I want to be able to put music and videos on my phone and I can't now. It works perfectly fine one my desktop which is an XP, but I wont be able to use the desktop because I will be leaving for college soon. All help is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

I used the same exact drivers you mentioned before, but I think I found a solution. I will just take out my sd card and plug it in manually into the computer. I probably should have done this from the start since the computer wont recognize the phone but I was thinking about that at the time. Thanks for your help anyway :)

You don't need drivers to access the SD card. When connected via USB there will be an option to "mount" the SD card in the phone's notification bar. Activate that and the phone will appear as a USB storage drive to the computer.

Not all the time, for some reason the Behold II is real finicky when it comes to mounting as a removable storage device on certain computers.

My desktop at work/Win XP - won't connect for nothing just says device not recognized

My coworker's desktop 2 cubicles down exact same setup (everything installed on his computer matched mine to a tee)/Win XP - connects no problems

Laptop at home/WinXP - connects no problems

#1 Desktop at 2nd job/Vista - won't connect for nothing just says device not recognized

#2 Desktop at 2nd job/Vista - won't connect for nothing just says device not recognized

#3 Desktop at 2nd job/Vista - connects with no problems

All computers were running latest service and security packs, I tinkered with every imaginable setting/solution and just ultimately gave up.

Now the Behold II is with my wife so it's her problem

I was having lots of problems connecting my Behold to my pc also.. And for all the stress I had I decided to share what worked for me just in case someone else had the same issue. I used DriverMax to search for the missing driver (the free version allows only 2 downloads per day). I am in no way endorsing this or any other software. It downloaded and installed samsung USB composite device version 5.16.02 dated 2010-11-11. Hopes this helps someone cause the files downloaded from the samsung website were not sufficient.
